Job Description
Be a part of one of Utah's fastest growing technology companies. The Specialized Software Developer will design, develop, test and deploy enterprise level applications in an agile development environment. This position will work as a key member of the development team in gathering requirements and implementing designs to meet those requirements. The Specialized Software Developer will ensure the functionality, quality, and maintainability of software systems through the use of agreed-upon shared best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
75% Software Development
- Develop, support, and document .Net based applications, MVC websites, and REST data services
- Develop, support, and document integrations and interdependencies between multiple applications
- Participate in all aspects of the product development life cycle from design to delivery
- Works to incrementally improve software functionality and usability
- Follow development and documentation standards
15% Software Design/Troubleshooting
- Contribute to software design and architecture
- Coordinate and assist in complex troubleshooting
- Maintain consistent experience/branding through new features and products
10% Leadership
- Serves as a mentor to software developers and grows technical skills and practices for quality software development
- Helps team members track progress towards development timelines
- Balance priorities among team to complete multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of development experience
- 4-5 years of HTML/CSS design and implementation experience
- Proficiency in the following areas:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript/jQuery
- 1-2 years of team or project lead experience
- Microsoft .Net C#
- Microsoft MVC/Web API
- SQL Server T-SQL/Stored Procs
- Source control system experience (Merge tools)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Photoshop/Illustrator a plus
